Pupil Leadership

Our Pupil Leadership teams

GIFT Team

Our school GIFT team (Growing in Faith Together) play a vital role in nurturing the prayer life of our school community. This group of Y5/ Y6 pupils serve as spiritual leaders and role models to the other children.

At The beginning of the autumn tern,  the Y6 GIFT team interview all prospective candidates to select new members of the team. Each child serves two years. The GIFT team meet every week after school with Mrs Booth and Miss Reeves to plan activities, which will deepen the prayer life of their peers.

Caritas Ambassadors

Our Caritas Ambassadors exemplify the very best of our values as they work together to support the most vulnerable in our local area, within our Diocese, and at a global level. Their commitment and compassion truly reflect the heart of our Catholic mission.

Our Ambassadors receive specialised training from Caritas Salford. This training deepens their understanding of Catholic Social Teaching, equipping them with the knowledge and inspiration necessary to serve effectively. They embark on this journey from Y2 –Y5 and dedicate themselves for two years, meeting fortnightly with Miss Fearns to discuss and organise meaningful projects to support charities both locally and globally.

Laudato Si Group

This group of committed pupils meets every other week with Miss McNicoll and Miss Cheetham  with a clear and vital mission—environmental stewardship and caring for our common home. Their work is inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si’, which calls upon us all to recognise the urgent need to protect the environment and to live sustainably. The team’s dedication is evident in the way they plan activities that promote sustainability, encourage waste reduction, and educate their peers about the importance of looking after God’s wonderful world.

Their efforts go beyond simple awareness-raising. They embody a deep sense of responsibility and faith in action, reminding us that caring for the environment is not only a practical necessity but also a moral imperative. By educating others, they are nurturing a culture of respect and care that we hope will ripple throughout our entire school and local community.
