Roman Catholic Diocese of Salford
Diocesan life is varied and vibrant – there are many faithful priests, religious and parishioners who serve the Diocese of Salford in countless ways.
The Diocese see Jesus Christ as Teacher and Educator who is at the centre of all our educational endeavour. The ‘call of lead’ in our schools and colleges is answered by a small number, but significant in their contribution to give our young people the quality education which they need in order to become the people whom God created them to be.
The Department’s mantra from the Gospel of St John, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”, is also part of our contribution to the creation and sustenance of our common home. With the support of parents, clergy and parishioners these young people can be accompanied and nourished with the Word of God. With the wisdom of generations of people of faith, “life to the full” sets out our aspiration for excellence in all we do to help shape and influence a loving and caring society where respect for every person is encouraged and where faith and freedom are valued by all.
